Frequently Asked Questions
How Does Advecta Flea and Tick Spray for Dogs Work?

The combination of ingredients in Advecta Flea and Tick Spray for Dogs kills adult fleas and ticks on contact. The first active ingredient is the botanical Pyrethrum, an extract of a Chrysanthemum flower, which provides effective knockdown and quick-kill of listed insects. The second active ingredient is Permethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid, which gives residual control of fleas. The third active ingredient is Nylar®, the insect growth regulator which inhibits the development of the immature stages of the flea for 100 days (3 months), preventing them from reaching the adult stage.
